Happy Valentine's Day 2010

Let's just say I'm posting this as a "Book marker" - and let's see if this book changes my life after I read it. I've got a pretty healthy dating life - but that's just it - it's a DATING LIFE. No one to write home about or take home to Mom & Dad lately. Sure, it's fun - but I'm always fun! I don't need a date to have fun!!!
So, for Valentine's Day - I was given the following book. (Yes, I know, please don't laugh) I intend on finishing it this weekend. I shall report back.

PS - For the record - I'm not a "Ohhh I just LOVE Valentine's Day! I hope my Boyfriend gives me Roses!" or "Oh Boo Hoo, I'm single on Valentine's Day. I want to kill myself!" kind of girl.

To Krazy Glue or not to Krazy Glue?- I am asking this question

So, this bowl is one of two matching bowls that my Aunt Trina made for me. One of the few treasured pieces I have of hers. They are totally one of a kind, and totally priceless! So last night as I was washing this bowl (which was already cracked once by an unknown dropper, and Krazy glued once) it fell off of the dish rack and BROKE! ARGH! I let a few ugly words out of my mouth and then accepted it. But now, do I glue it back together and use it as a candy dish? If I do that, it won't be as close to it's twin. Should I break it up more and use it as a mosaic on something? Well, that will probably go in my "cool stuff I'm going to make some day" closet that is already a bit full, and even then it won't be close to it's twin.

Basically, I'm just really sad. It's a special bowl, and pretty perfect with the handy handly on the side. So, I'm totally bummed and I think I'll Krazy Glue it and put some candy in it.

One of my favorite things to do is annoy my little brother...

I just can't help myself. I mean, you would think he's the older child and I'm the immature younger sibling - but no, I am 3 years older. He is younger but taller than I am, and much more "reserved." He has a quiet sense of humor that sneaks up on you - and then you realize he's the funniest person you have ever met. I must admit, he is the coolest person I know, and my favorite person. Since I only see him a couple times a year (given that he lives in Indiana and I live in California) I tend to tease him and annoy him via text message, email, Facebook, phone calls, etc. Now, I have added a new one to my list - BLOGGING! When he reads this - he will no doubt, laugh out loud and "Oh God, Oh hell no, wow she's lost it" Or something of that nature. He may just stop reading and turn the computer off as soon as he sees the picture I have posted with this. Who knows? All I know is, I am getting more of a kick out of writing this than is probably healthy or humanly possible. I literally can not wait for him to see it and get annoyed. I get a sick satisfaction out of it. I am currently threatening to put this picture on our Christmas cards. Christmas cards that I will send to his friends and he will get very mad about. See? I get an even bigger kick out of that!

Point is - I love Spencer. He's the greatest.

My Pink Ribbon

This is an email my Mom sent to me Monday morning. It is short, but speaks very loudly to me. Let us all be grateful for Awareness, and for our Moms! :)

First Blog ever - I love George Michael

This is my first blog ever, so I will immediately set the tone.  I wanted to start a blog so I could have another creative outlet, and I wanted to tell stories.  I am not doing this for any other reason.  I'm 26, I'm a pretty busy girl, and I love George Michael.  I am sure more juicy tid-bits of my life will be apparent as this blog progresses, so I will leave that as my introduction.
I'd like a big part of this blog to be about little things that make me happy that I want to share.  I get excited about the "little things in life" and I like to share.  Here, I can gush about whatever I want and my friends can CHOOSE to hear about it or not!  It's a win-win situation!
The reason I am excited about George Michael today is because of my Taxi driver last night.  My friends and I took a taxi to see a film our friend Christine was in.  The taxi driver had a nice music set up - and I saw a button that said "George Michael."  I of course asked for him to please press it - and he blasted "Careless Whisper."  It was really a great Fall moment: Windows down, George Michael blaring, and the cool wind in your hair.  FEELS GREAT!!
Now, if you are not a GM fan, then I suggest you drive your car with the windows down on a cool night and play "Careless Whisper" as loud as you can on your stereo.  You will then become a George Michael lover and thank me. For me, it's hard to compare George Michael to anyone else.  I never tire of his music, and it's perfect for many occasions.  When I don't hear him for awhile and I get a little taste like this one - I get really happy.  I will probably listen to him all week.

OK - so this is how the blog is going to go.  I'm going to write about whatever I want and I'm going to see what happens.  Enjoy!
